PAMELA PARMELLI, LCSW

I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience working with individuals and families. I take a strengths based, collaborative approach to therapy.

 

I treat depression, anxiety, trauma and relationship issues. It’s a privilege to do this work and I’ve learned so much from my clients’ inner strength and resilience.  As a clinical supervisor I work with clinicians to highlight their particular skills, develop their insight and emphasize ethical, evidenced based service provision. 

 

I’m inspired by clinicians who have a passion for understanding the human condition and who use that knowledge to help people sort through the challenges in their lives.

MARIA NAKHLEH, LCSW

Clinical Supervisor

Maria is a Bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with almost 20 years of experience in psychotherapy. She has worked with both children and adults as well as individuals, groups, and families. Maria has enjoyed working in both clinical and school-based settings. She obtained her NJ School Social Worker Certification in 2016. Maria has trained in various therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), CBT and mindfulness, as well as trauma-focused CBT and child-centered play therapy. Intensive training in the assessment and treatment of trauma and of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders has been a recent focus of Maria’s practice. 

 

Maria is a dedicated clinical supervisor with a deep commitment to supporting and guiding clinicians in their professional development. With a focus on enhancing knowledge and skills, Maria helps clinicians maintain a high standard of care and service for their clients. Passionate about leveraging individual strengths, she fosters an environment where clinicians can thrive, build confidence, and continuously grow in their practice. Maria’s leadership style emphasizes collaboration, skill-building, and empowerment, ensuring that both clinicians and clients benefit from a holistic and high-quality approach to care.

Rebecca seamlessly juggles multiple roles and responsibilities, adeptly navigating through various challenges with finesse and precision. Rebecca's ability to maintain composure under pressure while upholding the highest standards of quality is commendable, earning her the trust and respect of colleagues and clients alike.

Rebecca meticulously orchestrates client interactions, ensuring each interaction is personalized, efficient, and exceeds expectations. Whether it's addressing inquiries, resolving issues, or anticipating needs, she approaches every task with diligence and a customer-centric mindset.

Rebecca's passion for her work is evident in every interaction, leaving a lasting impression. With Rebecca at the helm, exceptional client service isn't just a goal—it's a standard upheld with unwavering determination and dedication.

Sara received her masters from Rutgers School of Social Work and holds a License of Social Worker (LSW) in New Jersey. Over the last six years, she has worked with young children, teens, and their parents in settings including school-based programs located in urban districts, inpatient facilities and outpatient practices. In addition to this, she worked with middle-aged adults, specifically the First Responders of 9/11/01 struggling with PTSD and other physical and mental health issues.

 

Her clinical expertise lies in the treatment of children and adolescents, trauma, anxiety-related disorders as well as depression. This passion for working with youth stems from the complexities of being a first-generation child of Hispanic immigrants, overcoming traumatic events and witnessing first hand the detriment and monetary cost later in life for children growing up with limited access to mental health services.

 

She is passionate about helping the youth and their families move from surviving emotional turmoil and life problems to thriving with the use of healthy coping strategies and a safe, trusting, and collaborative team approach to treatment. Sara's clients have struggled with behavioral challenges, attention difficulties, low self-esteem, interpersonal issues, mood, anxiety, trauma and life cycle transitions. She has specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

 

Sara is committed to providing a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community as well as patients from all religions, races, and cultural identities. She is dedicated to continuing her education by attending seminars and workshops.

Laura

LAURA ALVAREZ, LAC

Therapist

Laura received her master’s degree from New York University and completed an additional certification in counseling at Montclair State University. She is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and holds a School Counseling Certification in the state of New Jersey.

With over six years of experience, Laura has worked closely with children, teens, and families in educational settings, including school-based programs in suburban New Jersey and inner-city schools in New York City. Her clinical passion and expertise lie in supporting children and adolescents through life’s challenges.

Laura is dedicated to creating a warm, inclusive, and judgment-free space where the client feels safe, heard, and empowered. She approaches therapy with compassion and flexibility—meeting each child where they are emotionally and developmentally. Laura believes in every child’s ability to build resilience, navigate complex emotions, and cultivate meaningful, healthy relationships.

She has experience supporting clients struggling with anxiety, depression, school avoidance, and self-harming behaviors. Known for her empathetic nature and collaborative spirit, Laura works closely with families to ensure support and resources are provided.

SINDY BADILLO, LAC

Therapist

Sindy Badillo, LAC, is a Licensed Associate Counselor in New Jersey with a passion for supporting children, adolescents, and their families through life’s challenges. She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Rutgers University School of Health Professions.

Sindy has a diverse clinical background, including supporting children on the autism spectrum and working with individuals and families impacted by trauma, anxiety, depression, and other emotional or behavioral concerns. Her experience has given her a deep understanding of the unique challenges children and families face. She takes a warm, patient, and collaborative approach in her work that is rooted in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). 

 

Recognizing that every individual has the potential for growth, Sindy is committed to creating a safe, affirming, and culturally responsive space where young people can feel seen, heard, and supported in their journey toward emotional wellness. She believes deeply in the power of self-determination, dignity, cultural diversity, and hope, and brings these values into every therapeutic relationship. Sindy collaborates closely with families and caregivers to foster emotional growth, healthy communication, and lasting change, while welcoming and affirming clients from all backgrounds, identities, and communities to help each young person build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and truly thrive.
